Eatgypt

Eatgypt focuses on offering a single main dish called koshary.  It’s an amazing jumble of rice, lentils, chickpeas, elbow noodles, and crispy fried onion.  The delectable assemblage of ingredients then gets topped off with a secret, tangy Egyptian-style tomato sauce.
This is a dish that is healthy, nourishing, and tasty.  It also just so happens to be 100% vegan. We also offer this dish in a gluten-free version for guests who may be gluten intolerant or looking to avoid gluten.
We also offer a traditional Egyptian drink called karkade.  It is made with real brewed hibiscus, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and vegan sugar.  We don’t over-sweeten – so the tartness of both the hibiscus and lemon juice are what shine brightest.
From time to time we also might have on offer ta’ameya – Egypt’s version of falafel made with fresh greens and fava beans.  There’s also basbousa – a soft semolina cake made with vegan butter and a touch of coconut – then soaked in a sweet syrup.  As with our other offerings, these too are 100% vegan.
Besides a commitment to offering an all-vegan menu – Eatgypt also has committed to using non-GMO ingredients in our recipes. We also source and utilize biodegradable packaging. Our main dish is served in a fully compostable bowl.  Our cups and straws are paper.  We use recycled kraft bags for larger takeaway orders.

Most items typically sell out – so try and arrive earlier or call ahead!
