Desert Forager/Desert Tortoise Botanicals

Desert Forager was founded by John Slattery in 2014. A local herbalist, forager, and author, John wanted to bring the great variety of flavors of the Sonoran desert into a modern context via ancestral and traditional beverages. Local, wild-harvested prickly pear fruit juice is the foundational ingredient for many of our natural sodas and tepache beverages.

John creates unique seasonal beverages from locally foraged, organically grown, and gleaned fruits and herbs to create healing and delicious beverages to be served on tap.
