Heirloom Takes Over Management of Rincon Valley Farmers & Artisans Market

The Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market and Heirloom Farmers Markets are excited to announce their affiliation. Beginning August 1, 2018, Heirloom Farmers Markets will assume operation and management of the Saturday Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market (12500 E Old Spanish Trail, Tucson, AZ 85747) from 8am – 1pm.

“Heirloom has a track record of success in supporting our region’s farm and food producers and local vendors at several farmers markets throughout the region. They have the expertise to build upon the Rincon Valley Farmers and Artisans Market’s years of success”, said Brian Deatherage, Rincon Institute Board Member.

Nick Szumowski, Director of Operations for Heirloom Farmers Markets said, “We are looking forward to serving the Tucson, Vail, and Rincon Valley communities and are excited to support the Market’s local artisans in addition to its food vendors.”

The Rincon Valley Farmers & Artisans Market is a project of the Rincon Institute, a non-profit organization that works to integrate community throughout the Rincon, Vail, and Tanque Verde valleys. The market prides itself on providing local products, supporting local artisans and farmers, and partnering with the community. Supporting locally grown foods and locally produced crafts reduces the amount of non-renewable resources used in transporting non-local goods.

Heirloom Farmers Markets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that operates year-round farmers markets in Tucson, Green Valley and Oro Valley. The weekly markets are open Wednesdays at Green Valley Village in Green Valley, Fridays at Trail Dust Town (Home of Pinnacle Peak) in East Tucson, Saturdays at Steam Pump Ranch in Oro Valley and Sundays at Rillito Park in Tucson.
