7/18-19 Tomato Basil Festival

TomatoBasil-0715Summer’s here! Sun ripened tomatoes are aplenty and fragrant, sweet basil is abundant. Come celebrate the taste of summer Saturday, July 18th at the Oro Valley Farmers Market and Sunday, July 19th at Rillito Park Farmers Market.  Enjoy some of the season’s finest: a loaf of basil and sun-dried tomato bread, chilled gazpacho, heirloom tomatoes, tomato jams, and specialty basil infused soaps.  Take home fresh bundles of basil from the market and basil drenched olive oil for your pantry. Gather fresh tomato and basil recipes for your collection at home. On Sunday at Rillito Park, shop the Rillito Park Farmers Market and see the diverse bounty of local fresh tomatoes. Visit our Chef Demonstration Booth to sample the best flavors of basil and tomato. Plus, enjoy live music from Paige Anderson & The Fearless Kin from Grass Valley, CA! The market is open from 8am to 12noon and food demonstrations will start at 10am.
