SEED Impact Study & Head Count

Heirloom Farmers Markets will be implementing our second SEED Market Impact Study as part of a USDA FMPP GRANT initiative. On Sunday, April 23rd at Rillito Park Farmers Market we will have volunteers asking customers and businesses in the area a simple 7 question survey that will take 2 minutes to answer. We will also be counting how many people visit our market that day. Heirloom Farmers Markets will submit the collected data to SEED’s National farmers market database to see how our Tucson community fares in supporting our local food economy and who it impacts.

Keep an eye out for our survey volunteers who will be bright yellow Heirloom Volunteer buttons. To make this survey run smooth and not intrude on the shoppers experience, every shopper who has taken our survey will receive a bright “I Support My Farmers Market” sticker to notify our volunteer they’ve already participated in the survey.

WHAT IS SEED?

SEED is the Sticky Economy Evaluation Device created by MarketUmbrella.org to help markets across the USA collect data and measure their market impact in the community.
