14th Annual Chile Festival • OV

With Tucson’s temperatures sizzling, Heirloom Farmers Markets is celebrating the heat with their 14th Annual Chile Festival!

The annual Chile Festival was established in 2003 and attracts thousands of visitors throughout the weekend. The weekend kicks off at Trail Dust Town (Home of Pinnacle Peak) on Friday, September 15th, continues at the Oro Valley Farmers Market on Saturday, September 16th, and culminates with the Grande Chile Fiesta at the Rillito Park Farmers Market on Sunday, September 17th.

Vendors will be offering delectable chile-themed food, including freshly roasted green chiles, chile spices, zesty tamales and salsas, and an abundance of chile specialties. Enjoy live music all three days. On Saturday, the featured chef is Executive Pastry Chef Daniel Mangione of Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain. Then on Sunday the weekend crescendos with the Grande Chile Fiesta at the Rillito Park Farmers Market Pavilion featuring a Chef Demonstration by Maria Mazon Owner/Head Chef of BOCA Tacos y Tequila who will be using fresh market ingredients. There will also be live music from the kids group Mariachi Estrella de Tucson.

“Our annual Chile Festival is the event our customers and vendors look forward to each year. The aromas of fresh roasted Hatch chile fill the market and our vendors always impress with offering chile-themed foods for the weekend.” – Nick Szumowski, Lead Market Manager
