10 Year Anniversary Celebration at Rillito Park
We’re bringing the party to the Rillito Park Farmers Market (4502 N. 1st Ave.) on Sunday, November 3rd from 9am to 1pm. Voted Tucson’s best farmer’s market of 2023 in both the Tucson Weekly and the Arizona Daily Star. We’re celebrating our 10 year anniversary under the Rillito Park Farmers Market Pavilions with a featured ‘Chef at the Market’ from The Coronet and live music from The Bennu, a free raffle and tons of farmers market fun!
10 years ago, HeirloomFM partnered with Pima County to open Tucson’s first permanent farmers market pavilion at Rillito Park. Designed to be a pillar destination for the community, the pavilion showcases the bounty of food in the region and has dramatically enhanced the economic vitality of Tucson’s local food system. More than 90 vendors and 5,000 weekly shoppers currently participate in the Sunday market with numbers steadily climbing each season.
As part of Heirloom Farmers Markets mission to support a sustainable food system in Southern Arizona, we support supplemental nutrition programs, SNAP/EBT and WIC & Senior AZFMNP, at the market as to offer access to fresh healthy local foods to all types of communities. The dollars spent from these programs directly impact our local farmers, ranchers, and producers all year-round at the markets. To redeem or learn more about these programs please visit the market info booth.
In effort to support a healthy SNAP, WIC and Senior community at the Sunday Rillito Park Farmers Market we also offer educational programming about seasonal produce, meal planning, shopping the market, and cooking:
- Market Ambassador – Look for our Ambassador, in the bright orange apron to assist you in shopping the market.
- Taste of the Market (TotM) – Visit the bright orange TotM booth for a weekly helping of food literacy and education.
- Programs are sponsored by Arizona Complete Health.
As always, THANK YOU to our farmers, vendors, customers, and community partners for supporting Rillito Park Farmers Market!
