About

Heirloom Farmers Markets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates five farmers markets in Southern Arizona. Our mission is to connect, educate, and empower our community to create a vibrant food system that supports local food producers and proprietors.

Since our inception in 1998, we have been dedicated to promoting local food, supporting local farmers and producers, and building a resilient food system. Our farmers markets have grown to serve as a premier marketplace for over 40 participating farms and 250+ local small businesses, with more than 8,000 customers attending our markets every week.

Our work is made possible because of our dedicated Management, Board of Directors, sponsors, farmers, vendors, and community – people like you!

Non-discrimination Policy

We are committed to fostering farmers markets where people of all backgrounds feel welcome and respected, and where farmers, food producers, small businesses, staff, volunteers, and community partners have meaningful opportunities to participate and thrive.

We recognize that barriers to healthy food, land, resources, and economic opportunity have not affected all communities equally. Through our markets, food access programs, educational initiatives, and partnerships, HFM works to reduce barriers to fresh, locally produced food while creating opportunities for a diverse community of local farmers and entrepreneurs.

Our goal is to cultivate farmers markets that strengthen Southern Arizona’s local food system and create a welcoming community where everyone has an opportunity to participate.
